A Unesco World Heritage Site since 2016, La Cité Radieuse in Marseilles is an icon of Le Corbusier's work. Built between 1948 and 1952, it represents the culmination of his research on housing and Modern architecture. Designed according to Le Corbu's anthropometric scale of proportions, the spaces of this apartment are comfortably adapted to the human body.
Charlotte Perriand & Jean Prouvé
The apartment has retained some of its original furnishings.
The integrated storage and the layout of the children's rooms were designed by architect Charlotte Perriand.
The interior staircase, designed by Jean Prouvé, has a light metal structure and solid oak steps evoking a boat ladder.
