Van Buuren Museum & Gardens
The Van Buuren Museum is a meeting-point for many different disciplines: architecture, painting, sculpture, the decorative arts, textiles, landscape architecture and botany. David van Buuren believed in the concept of a total work of art. In his home, furniture and artefacts were predominant and rooms were designed around them in order to showcase them.
Highlights
The atmosphere and charm of the interior are unique, and the surrounding gardens no less so. Alice van Buuren put her heart and soul into designing them, with two talented landscape gardeners, Jules Buyssens (Picturesque Garden and Rose Gardens) and René Pechère (Maze and Garden of the Heart).
